2Degree Ice Art and Ice Bar

Date of visit: 01.01.2014

We celebrated the first day of 2014 in coldness at 2Degree Ice Art :D

My sis had purchased the tickets on one of those online deals, so I am not sure what offer she managed to catch.
But for ticket price, you may click HERE.

Walked into the entrance, there's a queue for rental of down jackets and gloves are given at S$5.
Hadn't keep or wash our winter wear from Beijing, we 顺便 brought our own and saved $20 ($5 X 4pax)!

Once all dressed up, the attendant opened the fridge door for us to enter.  As soon as we stepped in, we were in an icy world away from Singapore.

Colorful lights were being shone onto ice sculptures.  It became colder as we stayed longer, colder than expected, but we were all padded up.  Not going to be long winded wordy this time, so just sit back and scroll down to enjoy the pics

As you can see from this pic, the floor is carpeted, no worries of slipperiness.

There's a small play area with 2 small slides and a bigger one for bumper slide down.

That's me wriggling down instead of sliding down, there was too much friction between my butt and the slide somehow >.<

After this visit, le hubby was very determined to go Harbin -___-

The exit leads to a cafeteria which I totally forgotten to take pics.  Beverages and some snacks were sold.  I dumped my hubby and kids there to munch curry chicken with bread (about S$5) while dragon girl, my kid sis and I went to the Ice Bar.

The Ice Bar is located away from the Ice Art, not far, just 2 mins walk.  The thing was, I was too lazy to take off my jacket cos' it has got more than 10 buttons >.<  So I ran my way under the sun passing the car park with many eyes looking at me.  I nearly cooked myself alive under our 30 degree weather.  Dragon girl and my sis were laughing like mad, they said it was a comical sight that my bunny ears were jumping as I ran, oh gosh........

Entrance to the Ice Bar is free but you have a purchase a drink to enter.

Grey down jackets are free for loan too.  And no, you can't take them to the Ice Art ok lolxx....

Some may prefer to be less chill at their lounge area.

It's not too big inside, probably with 30 seats or so.

These are ice mugs, heeheeeheee......  It's S$3 each, we bought 2 to share and the beer was S$15 each mug.

He poured beer and left asap, lolxx..

We were afraid that our lips might kena stuck on the ice mug, so we asked for straws.

But drinking with straw just made me a bit drunk.

Nevertheless, I made it straight to smash the ice mug.  Thank you dragon pal who took this video for us ^.^

As you can see, some people 没有吃饭, didn't managed to smash their ice mugs.  We smashed hard until cui cui ok!  Waaahaaahaa....... ok, I sound so silly >.<

Not too bad a place to visit to spend CNY holiday and to experience winter although the place is not exactly big.  Do dress with sensibly with pants or leggings and covered shoes to enjoy fully.  I saw a few heroes wore slippers and fearless ladies wore skirts/shorts with bare legs, what's wrong these people I wonder lolxx....
