Itinerary Outline:
Morning - Pratunam Market
Noon - Central World Mall, Big C Supermarket, Sim Paragon
Evening - Rod Fai Night Market

"Mummy mummy!  Wake up!  Got many shops open liao!" hubby whispered as loud as possible onto my face.  Huh?!?  It's only 7.30am.

"I walked walked straight ahead, don't know what place, MANY people already!" he started to exclaim like a small boy when he confirmed he successfully woke me up.

Indeed, people started shopping already!  It's crazy!  So we were walking towards Pratunam Market.

We had Mcdonald breakfast, ordered chicken porridge and chicken burger with omelette which are not available in Singapore.
Three of us shared these, couldn't really eat much in the morning.

Walked into Pratunam Market, it was already quite crowded even before 9am.

The sales ladies weren't in their best mood and most of them just wanted to be left alone.

In the mist of the crowd, there were mobile stalls selling breakfast, making a living was tough right.

We walked into a big shop bought some unique DOMO t-shirts for around S$12 each.
The sales man wasn't local but was very friendly.  I took a pic with their Mickey before we left.

Tons and tons of clothes selling here.

There were so much food around, I now wonder why we didn't try any.

There were more plus size clothings now, but I some how just set my eyes on those which were too small for me lolxx...

We saw people crowding around this porridge stall but they were sold out, it was only around 9.30am.

More economical food, too heavy for breakfast, but must be filling enough for lunch or dinner.

We were back to the hostel after an hour's tour in Pratunam Market.

Just in time to order breakfast.

This was the dinning area.  The door at the left corner was our room.  During our stay, the other guests were very considerate, no noise was heard when we were inside our room.

Breakfast was cook by a lady upon order, we request one serving to share.  Gotten only omelette with rice, should had bought some food back to go with it.

After the hostel's egg and rice, we nua a little before hitting the streets again.  My King Luis was very excited as the local Pen Spinning players were meeting him for the first time after knowing each other for a few years online.
It was just normal as parents to take extra precaution to make sure they weren't baddies that will kidnap our son or cut him up to take his kidneys etc...  Children will never understand our worries lah.... They never know how much we love them de...

We kind of tailed them until we were sure he was with decent companions.
It's Central World here, very Christmassy.

If you are in Central World, it's very enjoyable to visit Naraya at the ground floor.  It's perhaps one of the largest outlet with the latest designs as well as classic collections.

They were having CNY products but didn't buy any, not exactly cheap.

Instead, I bought this red messenger sling for THB760.  Gotten compliments wherever it goes.

No auntie in the world can resist supermarkets, I am no exception.  Oh well, actually Big C draws crowd of all ages.

Discovering things we never see in Singapore was freaking thrilling even if we may not be able to buy.  Pink century eggs, seriously pink.  The plastic container was transparent!

Whole sea of S.A.L.M.O.N.... omg...

Cheap thrills of roast meat.

The supermarket was more like a warehouse.  The tibits were stacked in cartons and bundles.
People grab items like at least a dozen of each type as if they were competing with each other.  Shoppers probably wished they can drive pallet trucks for loading instead of pushing shopping trolleys lolxx...

Our trolley, I felt like a loser, haahaahaa...

Thai Mcdonald's got rice sia!!  Wow.... it's a pity we didn't get to try cos' hubby die die need to eat wanton mee after hearing so much about it.
I told him we would give it a miss if there's a queue.

So here we were at Soi 19, no queue around 2pm but all tables were occupied (mostly by Singaporeans).

Looking back at 2014, it was THB50, now double liao.  Click HERE for my old blog post, heehee...

Braised trotters were sold out, so we only had wanton noodles.  Hubby's wished granted, tummy fulfilled.  Tasted as nice as before, but price not as nice already.

We were waiting for King Luis so we wriggled around the central area.  Digestion was really slow, went hunting for much raved After You Cafe in Siam Paragon around 5pm.
The queue outside it was going to take more than an hour, we diverted to this Pancake Cafe which was a couple of units away.

Losing weight became a unattainable mission, I just had to (and have to) embrace my fats in glory....

Coffee Latte with cream BHT115

Madagascar Vanilla Pancake BHT265
The pancakes were light and incredibly fluffy.  Didn't taste like pancake at all, it's more like chiffon cake mixed with cotton candy made with clouds.  It's was really wow.... worth embracing the calories.  I will come back for this if I visit Bangkok again.

From Siem Paragon, we took a Grab (THB198) to Rod Fai Night Market (Srinakarin).
It was almost half an hour's drive.

This was the overall sight we saw.

Online was like this:
We didn't see any rainbow tents and started to wonder were we at the right market....

There wasn't much crowd compared to Chatuchak.
We were brain dead with legs threatening to go on strike again, so we walked on without giving much thoughts.

Some stalls with interesting stuffs which were fascinating to look at though not buying.

So crazy ChEaP!!

Vintage cars in between the stalls.

Got barber here.

Got manicure also.

Plenty of food here, if only we had more stomach space.

Cooked insects which reminded me of Cambodia.

However gluttonous I am, still can't overcome the visual barrier, I just can't bring myself to try.

These were chocolates, looked like some toys.

Buttercream cupcakes and cakes, cos they wouldn't melt in outdoor.

Monster grilled prawns.

Grilled beef...

Salted grilled fish.

Sausages.

Assorted steam dumplings and meat balls.

We tried a stick of fish dumplings with tom yum sauce and was soooooooo delicious de.

Some cool looking bar.

Pushing dinner to supper around 8.30pm, we had something pocket friendly.

THB99 for a large plate of rice with eggs and basil minced pork for 2pax.

Both the price and the smell attracted lots of customers.

THB99 mega plate of rice with spicy basil minced pork and 2 eggs actually, one over another, so looked like only 1.
It's so simple yet so delicious and satisfying.

Too curious at the ball balls.

So it's pancake in a ball with hot dog inside.  Couldn't remember the price, but for sure not expensive.

Opposite the night market were a row of shop houses with restaurants, but it's only so much we could eat.

We kinda finished the area in 2hrs and I thought online said it's very big.

We were tired anyway, hopped onto Grab..... and as it drove pass the huge car park beside the night market we walked.... WE SAW THE RAINBOW TENTS OF NIGHT MARKET!!!  What the........ We totally missed it!  Almost wanted to get out of the car sia.  Will come back for revenge the next time, omg.....

We came back to the hostel and our room got ants.  The reception gave us a bottle of insect spray and that was it.  Absolutely no housekeeping so I had to wipe these away the MYSELF.
And this was why Glur Central Platinum didn't meet my expectation.

Day 5 was another physical challenge, will churn it out whenever I can. Thanks for popping by my blog.
