East Java/South Bali 14 days Day 8

 25/05/2025

Last breakfast before checking out The Prime Canggu Hotel.  I didn't want to leave!!!
I repeat:  THE PRIME CANGGU HOTEL  IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for their service, decent breakfast, fluffy comfy bed and aesthetic spacious room.

Enjoying the room service.

A big spread of breakfast which lasted me till dinner.

Checked out after breakfast, 5mins bike ride to La Brisa weekend market with Canggu Center (small local stalls) right next to it.
The weekend market was crowded with multi-nations.
Pity that I didn't get to try any food.
Nothing was cheap, managed to buy one small tub of teeth whitening charcoal powder.

Since it was just a 5mins bike ride back to the hotel, I randomly hailed a bike from the road.  Big mistake, I forgotten how much he was asking.  I only remembered for the 5mins ride, he charging me for the price of 30mins journey, I refused to give him.  The hotel reception didn't help, they were quiet and scared looking.  I started to bang the table, talked loud enough and threatened to call the police.  If it was a few years ago, I would be crying.

Now I am not a push over.

Paid the bike scammer what he deserved, then I changed back to my usual sweet little granny self.  Grab taxi to Ubud after the drama.  Actually if that bike scammer was a gangster, he would probably wait for me outside the hotel and beat me up.  Good thing that I left Canggu immediately.
Journey was about 45mins without much jam.  I had read numerous comments about the bad traffic in Bali, it wasn't as bad as Bangkok (as long as peak hours were avoided), in fact was almost nothing, I would consider the traffic smooth enough.

Meruhdani Boutique Hotel Ubud S$141 for 3 nights with breakfast.
Couldn't fault it for it's price.

My accommodation had a big patio in front.

No more fluffy pillows and comforter.  The only socket I could find for charging my phone and laptop was behind the bed side table.  I had to move the side table to use it urrrgggg...
I missed The Prime Canggu Hotel so badly lolxx...

I love the open wardrobe, my bags and whatever were easily stored, the space was hanging clothes was within my reach.

The bathroom was very basic.  The shower was good with constant temperature.
The big bouquet of flowers were natural fresheners, it filled the bathroom with fragrance, love it.

There was a small pool in front of the patio which I was too busy to use.  The main attractions were all in Ubud.

Who was so romantic to stack up the stones?

Snailing down the street of Ubud.

Didn't even know what building is this.

Took photo cos it looked very "Bali".

Walking and stopping numerous times, I think it took me half an hour to reach this restaurant I found online.
This Is Bali, the price was very touristy.

Pleasant surprise, cold towel was served.
Then ordering the side dishes was like playing a little game.
They also had menu for customers who preferred to order straight away.

Lemon grass lemonade.

I paid for extra chilli.

Trying to look as pretty as I could, those pimple stickers were so obvious lolxx...

Here's my pretty expensive nasi.

Ang mo having fun on road.

Famous on social media  Tukies coconut ice-cream.

Shouldn't had 2 scoops, serving was huge.
Quite yummy, not crowded during my time of visit.  But don't waste time if the queue is long.
Opinion from a person who had been to Thailand numerous times.

There were endless rows of souvenir shops and cafes/restaurants here, very touristy which came with convenience which some people took from granted.
Artwork of Bali (forgotten which temple it was).
Ok, this was it lolxx...

I thought this would lead me to a rice terrace but it didn't.
The stalls were repetitive and boring since I had no intention of buying anything.

But the "advertisements" on the floor were interesting.  People of Bali are artistic.

Happened to walk pass Ubud Water Palace, it was slightly more than an hour before they closed.
Decided to pop in even if it's for a while rather than making another trip here.

The entrance fee was less than a cup of Starbucks, forgotten how much it was.
Quite pretty actually...hmmm...

Imagine having my wedding here lolxx...

All visitors were made to wear their purple robes, cringed sia.
But the color combi looked like magic on me, heehee...

I almost had this whole stretch to myself, with a few passing by.  Most people went to the main temple to take photos.

I learnt smirking from G-Dragon.
I spend about an hour, till they closed.

Right next to Ubud Water Palace was Starbucks.

So sad that they run out of Pandan Coconut Latte.

Back to green tea latte, that's my dinner.

Lepak until I shiok before going back to my resort.
Ending the day rather early.

Recapping Bali by blogging is probably the most therapeutic thing to do, I should be crying lesser.
