Japan Day 14 - Ginza, Tokyo Station, Akihabara (Tokyo)

 31/03/2023
Ginza, Tokyo Station, Akihabara (Tokyo)

We explore central Tokyo a bit for the day.  Had only Darren with me while Luis attending "Street Fighting" Game tournament in Tokyo Big Sight exhibition center.

Loving the hotel Sotetsu Grand Fresa Tokyo-Bay Ariake, window overlooking Ariake TFT Building and the small garden park.

I added in breakfast so that Luis could eat full full before heading for his event.  He went out earlier while we snugged in longer.

Considered heavy breakfast for me.
Perfect onsen eggs which ang mos broke the egg into half then digged in the shells... struggling but they didn't how else to do, laughed die me.  Very tempted to help, but better mind my own business...

People only talked cherry blossoms in Spring, nobody mentioned tulips at all!!! I don't understand why???
So I was really surprised, it's such a beautiful bonus!

Journey started from Tokyo Big Sight Station.

This building is Tokyo Big Sight Building, Luis no good, didn't bring us inside to take a look.

No ideal what's the big saw doing there haahaa...

The train ride was very interesting, passed by Tokyo Internation Cruise Terminal....
... Ship Science Museum
... Rainbow Bridge.

... Odaiba city.

Train from another direction.

Here we were at Ginza after a short ride.

Bought cream cones outside Ginza Station.

Nice cream filling, pastry very flaky, a bit too dry and hard for our liking.

Part of the railway looked very vintage with red bricks.
There were restaurants/cafes beneath, but wouldn't it be noisy??

We found small godzilla instead of the big one.

Besides Godzilla was Tim Ho Wan, gosh!

Walked to the other side of the station.

Narrow alley of restaurants and bars.
All looked quiet, maybe they cater for night and supper.

Random flowers beside the road.

Waaaahaahaa.... our Bee Cheng Hiang made it to Japan!

Curious about Uniqlo Coffee...
Some Uniqlos in Japan sell flowers.

A bit disappointed that there were no proper seats, nothing fantastic, coffee tasted very ordinary and not cheap.

But the store display was more vibrant than Singapore.

Street view from top floor.

Happy shopping.

A bit more of Ginza before leaving.

Saw the cheapest bento in Tokyo Station.

Died...

Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building since 1914, beautiful.

New NHK store not opened yet.

One stretch of cute stores at the basement.

Went to Akihabara, a place filled with anime and toys.

Went into a random ramen place for dinner.

Very stressed up whenever I see cash ordering machine, cos I was running out of cash.

Nice meal but didn't leave much impression.
We also had a big glass of coke, shiok.

What a steal!  Bought it, HAPPY!  Mad love Nezuko.

We had to get back to Tokyo Station for a train to Odaiba.  Took a bit of time to snap pics of Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building with night lights.
Yay!
