Went to Soup Restaurant at Century Square on 17 March for dinner. While the oriental ambience was really soothing, it may not be a suitable place for elderly to dine in. They do not have chairs with back rest, only stools, my poor back was so tired.......
It was not my first visit, what brought me back was this

Samsui Ginger Chicken (S) S$15.90
It's never disappointing. Chicken so tender and smooth as though it's coated with velvet.
1pc cabbage + 1pc samsui chicken + 1tsp in house ginger sauce = ULIMATE SATISFACTION
1pc cabbage + 1pc samsui chicken + 1tsp in house ginger sauce = ULIMATE SATISFACTION
After so many years, the standard of this signature dish remains, I hope it will forever.
Fish Slices with Chilli S$12.90
Slightly spicy, thick slices of fish meat were golden brown on the outside, moist and tender inside.
Fried Bean Sprouts S$8.90
Retaining the crisps of bean sprouts, stir fried with very little oil with mild taste, yums.
Steamed Omega Eggs (S) S$6.90
Crazy yummy, it's a chinese version of chawanmushi. But be very careful while eating this, cos' the steam egg was so smooth that it just slide from the spoon into the mouth, woooooo........
Variety of dishes is not much but the serving was fast.
Like the way how simple dishes can be made so good.
No deep fried dishes in the menu is definitely a virtue of Soup Restaurant.
But I still hate the stools! Can't they just replace them with proper chairs?? Sigh...
So, if you love chicken, sorry I mean edible steam white chicken, it's a nice place to pop in.
