Asakusa, Shibuya Sky
Back to Cocomo kimono rental at Asakusa for professional photo shot.
For their ordinary kimono rental, you can click here to see the one I rent for wearing out:
I know we were wearing Oiran (prostitute) outfit, I was being insulted by a few keyboard warriors. They either thought they were saints or had serious brain damage which couldn't differentiate between reality and fiction.
Are you a real vampire when you dressed up as one in Halloween?
The wig was very heavy and kinda old in reality, but luckily it still looked quite good on photos.
These were selfies.
And this is Luis, heehee....
Okie.... these were photos in the indoor studio.
We had 3 A5 size print outs in a nice folder and all the soft copies emailed to us. One outfit + hair + makeup, each pax was about S$230. I would say the end results were satisfying, but to be on the picky side, the makeup and wig could be better. I gave them a big hug, bowed endlessly and they send us off with a box of facial beauty masks as gift.
We headed to a shop nearby to get brow glue recommended by Cocomo's makeup artist (she was very generous to share, we were very thankful for that). Then we chanced upon soya bean shop, dashed in regardless of the price lolxx...
The cashier cum server spoke chinese, thank goodness lolxx...
Beloved soya milk.
Prata kiap with egg and tuna was ok but nothing to wow about.
Interior was very Taiwan heehee... interesting.
Sensoji Temple was as crowded as ever (what a nightmare), with many trishaw pullers waiting outside for potential customers.
Before leaving, we went to Asakusa Information Center Building which was opposite the temple.
The viewing deck at the 8th floor was opened for the public for free.
While it might not be very high, the view was really pretty.
Tokyo Sky Tree...
and that stretch of nightmare with Sensoji Temple.
My son is so handsome.
Act cool lolxx...
We then purposely made a trip to Tokyo Station for the newly open NHK store with intention to buy lots of Domo.
Unfortunately, not even this flag store carries a lot of Domo, it was so sad and disappointing.
That's all they had.
Head to Shibuya to meet up with Darren.
The station was having construction upgrade.
Newspaper vendor still exist wor.
Shibuya Sky building.
Hundreds of people waiting to take photo with doggie statue, so we left after this pic.
The bitter sweet story of this faithful dog would be remembered...
Shibuya was extremely crowded, it's suffocating.
After making a few circles, we settled for dinner in udon eatery.
Struggled to climb onto the high chair...
Beef udon with tempura was 880yen, added an egg for 150yen.
Walked pass Ichiran. No way we would stand in the cold for this, but these people were loving it...
I don't understand the hype of Shibuya crossing. Cos this kind of crossing is everywhere in Japan. I don't find what so fun with the crowd.
Shibuya Sky Building all light up, but who's in the building?
Bought tix from Klook, was around $20, same price for all timings. Wanted to book late noon for sunset and night view but the time slot was sold out. We made do with 8pm slot.
Highly recommended, the night view was stunning. It was very windy, but we enjoyed every moment of the visual feast.
I love them so much...
Heehee... they were wearing matching outfits.
These light beams went off before I could take more pics, so sadly I had only 2 photos.
Tokyo night with a thousand lights.
It was challenging to put a human into the frame, the camera could either focus on human or the view.
Souvenir shop, bought nothing, really ex.
I would visit again if I am in Tokyo.
We went Shibuya bowl around 9pm. They had shoe dispenser which amused us so much.
Tried a couple of times to get the right size for myself.
Very futuristic but the lane was dry like desert, so the experience wasn't good. Forgotten the price but was more expensive than Singapore.
They had another floor with normal lightings, not sure if the lanes were better here.
Dragged ourselves back to the hotel, my old bones were shattering as I walked lolxx...
It was such a beautiful quiet night.
The next day we walked to Harajuku from Shibuya Station. It was technically our last day in Japan as the day after was a morning flight.
Thanks for reading.
