Desert Tours in UAE

During my one month stay in UAE, I've been to the desert 3 times.

Date: 19/03/2022

The first experience was the most unforgettable, the tour with Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara was FLAWLESS, highly recommended.  My kid sis had paid the for expense, sibei paiseh, not cheap (I mean it).

The resort was about 3hrs drive from Abu Dhabi, I am not sure if it would be closer from Dubai.  Towards the last half an hour, we had incredible view of desert, incredible.... I am very very blessed...

The resort looked like a giant sand castle.  And there were more sand castles inside!

Meticulous service from the moment they opened our car doors.  The crew leaded us to their lobby where cold towels and light refreshments were served.

I never knew desert can be so beautiful, insane beautiful.

We had camel ride, it's very tall, a bit scary initially but was soon very comfortable, more comfortable than horse rides.

The camels had face masks to prevent them from nibbling on grass during their work lolxx...  They didn't like it and made small noises sometimes.  But they were so gentle...

Canvas to sand drawn by the wind, it's stunning.

The experience of drinking red wine while watching sunset in a desert was priceless.

We had a chef to cook for us.

There were only 4 of us but he cooked for like 10pax.

Everything was delicious.

The moon was shining so brightly like the sun.

This dessert was delicious, forgotten what was it called.

Didn't manage to eat these cos our stomachs were going to explode.

First camp fire of my life, heart to heart talks with strangers....

My sis and I had this big tent although it had 4 beds, the other 2 tourists had another tent to themselves.

Luckily I brought along a puffer jacket, it was ok over my tank top.

Red sunrise, the world was beautiful.

We woke up early for bird show.  This naughty one resting on our picnic.

Close encounter with the falcon.

This was my favourite bird.  Her name is Mary Jane, chubby owl.

So cute sia.

We had a very huge spread of breakfast which lasted us almost through the day.

Lovely exotic tent.

How to finish wor...
When they asked for our feedback, we told them everything was perfect, just lessen the food portion, cos we hate to waste food.

This is their FB:
Super duper highly recommended, totally worth the splurge.

Fossil Dunes and desert bashing with

This was about 1.5hrs drive from Abu Dhabi, there were litters here and there left by tourists.
This particular tour guide took many nice photos for us, it was so much fun!

I didn't enjoy the bashing, I wanna vomit lolxx...

Nothing much at the Fossil Dunes, we left in less than half an hour.  The weather was very warm in April.  When I say warm, I mean it's more than Singapore.

On the way back, we saw a herd of camels.

My the other kid sis decided to fly over last min.  It would be a waste to be in UAE without visiting the desert, so here we went again, with Extreme Tour again, specifically requested for the same tour guide whom we love his photography skills lolx...

This time I enjoyed the bashing, it was like roller coaster, heehee...

The tour guide brought us to another area.

Photo spams.

We went to feed the camels.

Dinner over here.

Doing this blog post, looking at these photos all over again made me jealous of myself, omg...

There was a lady doing free hena for the guests.  Reminded me of those days where I do nails for ppl in events...

The dinner was a bit disappointing, they could do better.

Watched Turkish dance, oh gosh, how he turned round and round and not giddy???

They made us all lie down for 10mins to watch the stars, will remember how sparkling the sky was though I couldn't capture in camera.

Hope not too long from now, can bring my old man to visit the desert, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort would be my first choice.  Extreme Travel will be more pocket friendly and it's good if you just wanna half day tour.

Actually I thought my UAE posts were all done, had a shock when I saw these drafts still pending, haahaahaa.... I still have a few more to share.  Hope to get done before I fly off to Japan in mid March, else I'll be in deep trouble, cos my Japan trip is going to be 26 days.

These few days my elder took my laptop to school cos his died on him.  So I could only work on my blogs when he comes back.  But I will try my best, heehee...
