4D3N Kuala Lumpur, Day 3

 Date: 01/05/2022 (Sun)

Another day trip bought with Klook, Sky Mirror and Bukit Melawati Monkey Hill Tour S$127.98 for 2 pax.

Because of the massive holiday traffic jam, 1hr journey became 3hrs to get to Sky Mirror.  According to the driver who picked us up this was one of the least ideal jetty, which didn't take us too long to find out why.  There were other better ones with better facilities which we didn't get to experience.
Between the jetty was a seafood restaurant and a chinese temple, both horribly rundown.

The environment was very unkept, oh well can't expect "Japan" from "Malaysia", I might had set my expectation too high.
Weeds and wild grass growing everywhere...

The shore was full of rubbish.  It started to rain and the only shelter was this shabby pink boat.  The planks made cracking and squeaky sounds when people stepped on.  I think one strong foot stomp would break the boat apart lolxx...

Attendance was taken and we were on a speed boat (thank god not the
The boat ride was about 30mins and it stopped raining like a miracle.
Right in the middle of the sea, they called it a sand bank, not an island.  I was shocked to see so many people, would the sand bank sink???  Lolxx...

Looking away from the crowd, the sky was meeting the sea, so nice.

The group was allocated to a few photographers and we followed ours.

The photographers were doing "preparation", first time seeing behind the scene, normally people just post their photos on social media.  Why ignore all these hard work behind?

The photographers had to lie down on the sand bank.

While waiting for our turn, we walked around playing with sea crabs and snails.

It's not possible not to step on them, but I supposed the sand was so soft that they would just sink in when being stepped.  I hoped we killed none, didn't see any dead ones anyway.

The crowd got excited whenever a big shell was found.
We found a hermit crab.

Another smaller crab.

We line them up for photoshot lolxx...

Some more, so fun.

From knee level, the water level went down to a inch or 2.

Photos we took ourselves didn't have the mirror image but looked awesome.  Looked as if I was the only one in the vast, heehee...

One more.

The sun was behind the clouds most of the time, thank goodness.

Finally our turn, using our handphones, the young man asked what poses we wanted, we were clueless and went along with whatever he suggested.
It was very cloudy, not so much of the bright blue sky, but we were happy with the results.

After we were done, the water slowly raised again and the rain returned.

The Klook package included snacks and drinks, but it took the pink boat forever.  Apparently, Klook didn't inform them to prepare the snacks, so these were whipped up for us the very last min.

We had bubble tea and some wings.

The rundown seafood restaurant had streams and streams of customers when we left, couldn't believe it lolxx...  Perhaps getting old liao, a comfortable/clean dinning environment is very important to me.

The tram not going up Bukit Melawati due to the rain, we had no choice but to leave with seeing the monkeys.  Klook refunded only S$5 I think.
Overall it's quite a unique and fun experience at Sky Mirror, but maybe try to avoid this miserable jetty.

Back to KL city center, the weather was good again, all in our favour.

Pavilion Mall and area was exciting like Orchard Road, though some outdoor pathway had pit holes and cracks.  Wonder how many people fell down if they didn't spot them.

Inside was splendid.

They had this Japanese street inside the mall.  At that point of time, Japan's border was still closed, I could only wait, and enjoy a small faux of Japan from here.  By the way, my readers arh, my Japan is confirmed hor, from 18 Mar to 12 Apr with my kiddo Luis, heehee....  Finally can "revenge" after 3 years.  I hope I don't jinx it, bo bi bo bi....

Haneda Airport feel.

PapaVoo bought slippers but ended up not wearing after we came back.

I joined the queue at Hermes trying the get the fragrance I wanted.
Ended up my nose was so choked up that I couldn't recognise the smell, walked out empty handed, saddest thing ever.

Traffic and human jam.  Again I thought we were going to kena here, but we never.

By this time we were looking for a dinner place, all those that we preferred were full.

Passed by pre-love bazzar.

We went back Jalan Alor, urrggg.....  Tried this Thai zhi char, not too good.

Only the mango rice dessert was nice, but still a far cry from the best I had eaten.

On the way back, I noticed a small lane... wow!  Life saving foot massage street this was!

Competition here, enthusiastic workers were standing at the door not letting go of any potential customers.

PapaVoo gotten himself a big muscle guy, laugh die me.
Nothing beats foot massage after a day of walking.

Next will be Day 4, our last day in KL.  Loving myself for being so productive, posted up so much within a week, but the house is really messy.  I will let it be till the week before CNY, then have to spring clean with arms and elbows...
