3rd day in Mauritius. Our Blue Pearl Resort at La Gaulette not luxurious but spacious and clean enough for the 3 of us. The kitchen was functional.
I hate the mosquito net and the baby crib looked creepy.
The bathroom was bigger than my bedroom back home.
We had a L-shape balcony. The entire apartment so big we could had play hide and seek lolxx...
Here was the other side with another table set and a laundry rack right at the end.
We made more fluffier scrambled eggs, luncheon meat and korean cold noodles to add on to the resort's breakfast.
I forgotten to bring these cane sugar home.
This was the outlook of the resort by the way.
The shades of blues while driving, on the way to Ganga Talao Temple.
Such blue doesn't exist in Singapore, but Bali have or not? I am gathering information on it, very tempted to just book a flight and fly over now now now lolxx...
Durga Mata Statue, 33m tall. Not too sure of it's history, clueless about the religion but tried to be respectful.
Despite of being a tourist attraction of Mauritius, the road looked like this lolxx...
Vehicles came once in a short while, but long enough for us to own it for a snap.
Shiva Murti Statue.
Had my forehead painted also given a lucky thread tied around the wrist.
Looked like somebody had ritual and blessed their new car.
Visited one of the temple, had to take off shoes to go in.
Nothing in particular, but we realised they like to use water to clean religious statues.
Indian temple with short history.
This lake which they called The Grand Bassin was a crater lake, not too big, about 50 to 55 feet deep, enough to drown me (if I dropped in).
The photos looked exceptionally nice, in reality it's nice but not too wow... still it's a tick as this was the biggest Hindu temple in Mauritius.
I looked gorgeous in this photo, in reality was cui with fats lolxx...
Mad love with this Uniqlo white shirt, should I get another color?
My pretty baby sis.
Fish fiercely eating bread while cats looking at them. We were waiting for the cats to attack the fish, but that didn't happen lolxx...
After snailing Grand Bassin, we made a 10mins drive to Le Bois Cheri Restaurant, highly recommended!
Outside the restaurant was a small pond with a small plot of tea plantation.
It was just very calming to look at it, it's not drop dead gorgeous kind of scenery but this place had it's own magic.
Behind the restaurant was a big green field, far far end was actually the sea.
The group of us actually stood there and "argue" where the sea "line" was and which part belonged to the sky. It's crazy beautiful - the sky and the sea just blended onto each other.
Here's our lunch.
Bread with tea aroma was complimentary.
Stone fire pizza was so good.
I had garlic butter chicken with rice, came with lentil soup (I really didn't like it but it's at almost every restaurant).
Flambe banana.
Chocolate banana pizza.
After lunch we walked around the compound.
We saw kurobuta mummy and kids.
The kids were running about playing with each other, so cute to watch.
Then we saw a random deer walked pass. We couldn't believe it.
It was about an hour's drive back to our villa, we stopped by Rivière Des Galets Beach, sibei swee.
BEAUTIFUL... haiz at our Changi Beach and East Coast Park... but it's nature, not our government's fault.
We rested a bit before heading out for a drink at Enso. Was too full for dinner.
We had some wings and drinks.
They played cards while I was clueless lolxx...
So this was a very relax day.
The next day we went to Port Louise which we didn't make it in time and they closed on us. Thanks for sticking around.
A little slow nowadays on posting but will get done by end July cos I need to look for a job. Once I start to work, I will be drown between housework and job. But earning more money will give me the power to have better travels without scrimping.
Happy plans for 2025 will be Surabaya + Bali in May;
Yun Nan China in Aug;
Finland + Estonia + Norway in Dec (this one big "project" gonna cost an arm and a leg lolxx...)
