Japan Day 1- Haneda Airport - Haneda Airport Garden - Hiroshima Airport

 18/03/2023
Haneda Airport - Haneda Airport Garden - Hiroshima Airport - Tenryu Ryokan

When you are reading this, we are already back in Singapore!  Both kids fell sick but Covid free.  The heat and humid here is killing me, but I stayed alive blogging lolxx...

Rolling on...

.
.
I don't know how but we managed the red eye flight.  Haneda Airport Garden was at the left hand side of T3's arrival hall.

Everything was new and slate clean.

Lot's of shops, lot's of cute stuff, for sure we were in Japan liao!
Shops at the 1st floor.

We left our luggage at ¥600 each at this information counter.

Regretted the very next moment cos after that we found coin lockers hidden behind and was
¥500, so annoying.

It rained so much, surprisingly.

We weren't too affected, purposely went outdoor to feel the weather.

Food court and lots of restaurants at basement but we weren't hungry.

The kids were too lazy to move, I went to explore the departure hall.
Mini Nihonbashi bridge.

This worker KO-ed on the bench.

Too cute and it's a real post box.

We waited till 1pm for the onsen to open.
It's a whopping ¥4800 when normal onsen is less than ¥2000.

Everything was new, even the air smell new.  Quick snap of their dressing area with hair dryer.

We enjoyed both their outdoor and indoor onsen, but the sky wasn't clear enough to view Mt Fuji.

This was one of the rest area with recline arm chairs.

This was another one.

We couldn't really fell into deep sleep, but able to lie down and rest was still good after a red eye flight.

Wasn't hungry, so didn't get to try their restaurant, their menu didn't seem attractive at that point of time.

My big kids.

Back to T3, following whatever directions we could find, we took the free shuttle bus to T1 for domestic flight to Hiroshima.

There was a lot to see as well as many food options.

Exhausted and hungry we went to the food court.
Curry beef omu rice ¥1200, my first meal in Japan.

The food court had free green tea and plain water which we helped ourselves with.

Bought Tokyo Banana for ourselves.
Pics taken when we checked into our ryokan.  The tatami was very very, extremely precious to the ryokan's owners lolxx...

Our 5.55pm flight had a 40mins delay.

We had light refreshments but I forgotten to take pics.

Tokyo was so beautiful at night.

Smooth and safe flight, touched down Hiroshima in 1hr10mins.  It's a very small airport.

The tourist information counter was easily found and we bought the express limo bus ticket straight to Hiroshima Station, freaking ¥1450.

This was how the bus stop looked like, just outside the airport.

A crew helped passengers with their luggage.

We were all in a daze, one hour ride felt like 10mins.
Reached Hiroshima Station and the 5mins walk to Tenryu Ryokan felt forever.

I hate futon, it's so difficult for me to get up from the floor.
We hardly had any space for our luggage.  The next day, I decided to pull down extra quilts on the tatami and put our luggage on top.

The laptop size pillows weren't the most comfortable, the toilet was very tiny, it was just not the most comfortable accommodation.  Tatami table and chairs were not too kind to my knees.  It was only S$385 for 3pax 3 nights so I had to suck it up.  But still not too bad a choice for the location.  Our room was on the 2nd floor and the laundry was at the rooftop at the 5th floor, no elevator...  I died on this.

Nothing much on Day 1, the real game began on Day 2.
Thank you for reading and staying with me.
