Japan Day 7 - Nara

24/03/2023
Nara

Only one itinerary, all we did was a day trip to Nara.

We reached Kintetsu-Nara Station in a breeze of 30mins.

Walked out of Kintetsu-Nara Station, there was a small protest, no crowd, very "harmless" lolxx...

Spot the monk in pic.

We found lunch near the entrance of Higashimuki Shopping Street
Was tempted by the display and they welcome foreigners (some places don't).

Nice ambience.

Darren and I had mini pot.

Luis's.

Almost wanted to steal the chopstick rest.

Darren ordered extra high grade beef, not much difference with the normal ones actually lolxx...
Sedap.
Total damage 7150yen.

5mins walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station to Nara Park.  There were signs along the way, it's impossible to get lost.

A few deer biscuit vendor stalls around the entrance, all price the same.

Some deers would wait patiently for you to buy and feed them.  They somehow wouldn't bother the stall keepers, how and why?

This obviously had enough food, lepak right beside the road.

Deers were as many as tourists.

The deers were more famous then temples around, Kofuku-ji Tokondo was one of them.

Kōfuku-ji

Cherry blossoms plenty but a bit challenging to take nice photos, too crowded.

Luis was being chased by a deer, we took a video (but blogger wouldn't let me load), it hilarious.
I managed to lure one under a tree for a photo.

Another one came.

So much fun we had.

We unknowingly walked to Nara National Museum.

Aimed the ice truck.

Beautiful building of Nara National Museum, but not keen to visit.

Photo bombed by deer lolxx...

"Forced" my son to take photo.

It was as if the deer requested to look at the board lolxx...

Most sakura we saw were white, pinks were rare to us.

We had no idea that this would lead to Todaiji Temple, with one thousand beautiful distractions along the way.

The historical front gate was magnificent.

Took pic with this really huge cherry blossom tree.

Fierce looking gods at both side of the entrance.

Trying to piss off a deer.

Let's do it together!  Neck twist!

Actually what do you guys think of my anyhow photo editing skills?

Todaiji Temple which needed to pay for entrance, so I guess it was good enough to just look from outside.
Outside.

We started to wander around.

Trees with roots revealed and spreaded massively on the ground, reminded me of Ang Kor Wat.

We found Todaiji Shoro (Bell Tower), it's like heaven for deities in chinese drama.
We had the place all to ourselves for more than 10mins.  After which only a few people came to see this Bell Tower.

Love this set of photos very very much.

How could a rose looked so perfect...

Walking back to the station.

What kind of Daruma is this?  Lolxx...

The bank looked so old.

Saw this in Kintetsu Nara Station. Fat tummy in the way, can't roll under the platform,
臣妾做不到呀!

Didn't take too long to get back to the hotel.  My kids went to Sukiya and ta bao dinner for me, cos lunch was expensive, need to cut budget from dinner lolxx...

The next day we stayed in Osaka, went to a local garden and spend the whole noon and night in Namba, should be able to churn out the post soon.  Thank you for reading and hope you will be back!
