Itinerary Outline:
MBK
Caturday Cafe
Platinum Mall
Suvarnabhumi Airport (and not Don Mueang Airport omg...)
Woke up at 7.30am to enjoy the last day in Bangkok to the fullest. Walked along Phetchaburi Road for the last time. We saw this noodle little stall turning an alley into a neat eatery.
Rat noodles with minced pork and egg, very home cook and quite like the mild taste for breakfast.
However, the stall charged the locals THB50 but THB70 for us.
We went 7-eleven to get cup noodles, drinks and Bangkok bananas. Alcohols were covered up this way lolxx... It seemed that sales of alcohols were limited to certain timing.
Bangkok Banana sponge cakes when you can't get your hands on Tokyo Banana, not bad and it's way cheaper.
After 7-eleven we walked back to hostel, passed by the noodle stall again. This time the steam chicken stall beside it was opened.
Gave thai's hainanese chicken rice a try, we packet back at THB50.
It's weird having chicken rice for breakfast lolxx...
It came with precious blood jelly, chicken was tender, rice was fragrant. Not bad but I think Singapore's version is still the best with stronger taste of ginger and aroma of spring onions. It also came with a small packet of preserve veg soup which tasted sour and weird, so we left it.
We ordered one serving of breakfast from the hostel. This big plate came.
Egg with lots of stir fried chicken, so we hit our quota for both breakfast and lunch, omg...
Last pic of our room before checking out. Just look at the curtain, tsk tsk tsk.... enough eye sore. Just me, my boys bo chap.
Weighing the luggage to make sure they didn't exceed. Woes of taking budget air, haiz...
Checked out Candy Flowers Bags located at the 2nd or 3rd floor (sorry, just couldn't recall) of Glur Central Pratunam.
Nice bags and wallets, with quite a lot Cath Kidston imitations. Didn't need anything, so left after a while.
We checked out, keeping our luggage at the reception. We walked over to old mall MBK.
Cringed big time when we saw these hands lolxx....
Same old place, it's very quiet here, kinda relaxing without crowd. Luis made 2 key chains for his friends here.
We combed the building looking for this Old Skull T-shirt stall. It's 3rd floor located at the rear right corner of MBK building.
It has got the most selections here. The first shirt you see at the right corner is their signature print of waves with strong Jap element. It's around $12 - $15 depending on how many piece you purchase. The material is very very soft, very cooling, extremely comfortable for our climate. It can be worn from the bed, around non-aircon hawker, to atas Orchard Road.
It was a sweet surprise to find After You Cafe at the same floor.
The best was no queue!
It's cozy with no crowd.
Baby Matcha Toast THB195
Hot Matcha Latte THB135
Happy! As in finally ate after seeing and hearing so much. Not bad, but the Pancake Cafe left a deeper impression.
Only upon reaching we realised it's located right beside Ratchathewi BTS, about 5mins walk or less to our hostel.
We saw one which probably escaped and taking a nap outside.
At the entrance, there were shelves for putting our shoes and a sink for washing our hands before and after going into the cafe.
With more than 10 over cats around it's amazing how clean this cafe was with absolutely no funny odour.
From the decor to the amazing cleanliness, the owner must have put in tremendous effort to run and maintain this cafe.
The cats walk and sleep anywhere they like and this was here taking over the reception counter.
No entrance fee but each pax have to order at least a drink.
Beef rice THB168
Ice Lemon Tea THB118
Just one rule, we were not allowed to carry the cats but could touch or stroke them.
If you are scared of cats like the way I scared of cockroach, then you have to help yourself by scrolling all the way down then slowly move up a little.
The following are numerous kitty pics, prepared to melt (or scroll away to escape):

They were playing with each other, took a video, so cute, brought us so much joy.

Starring at each other outside the washroom.
Walking towards sleep zone.
Snuggled for the right position.
Sleep liao, heeheehee...
It's really enjoyable to have these adorable cats around. We regained enough stamina, chiong to Platinum Mall for the last battle.
My son went some where to get more stationery, while I "parked" hubby at the 6th floor food court. I managed to get a very nice jacket which I'll be wearing to Okinawa, and a set of blouse and pants.
Meet up with the boys at the food court cos needed to ta bao these custard puffs for my elder son.
Bought 40pcs for THB198.
Same old thing from the Kuey Chap stall, cos it never went wrong.
Went back to hostel around 5pm. Collect back our luggage, called Grab.
Everything was smooth until we realized that we were heading to the old airport instead of Suvarnabhumi Airport. Wa lau eeeeeee.... We paid for the wrong booking of THB300+, paid for the express way, made another booking on the spot for another THB300+, 把钱花光,为国争光。
Fortunately, we made it in time to the correct airport.
We stopped over here for a quick bite before our 9.20pm flight.
Chicken Mozzarella Panini with soft drink THB259.
Surprisingly finger licking good if you like cheese.
This was ham and egg, couldn't remember the price.
We ate so much throughout the day oh gawd..........
Thank god for the safe flight.
Next post will be on my Siem Reap leisure cum voluntary work trip with Tuesday Report (星期二特写) filming crews during Feb. I was informed that our episode will be on TV on 9 Apr. 3 days filming condensed into 20 mins, not sure how it is going to be like, looking forward to it though my fat face may or may not appear in it, heehee...
Need to thanks my faithful readers again for reading my rubbish all these years. Also appreciate new readers who chance upon this blog "accidentally". It's affinity lah, especially what I had been through was similar to yours.
