This day we finally get to explore Chiang Mai!
This UnderAmour pink dry-tech t-shirt had became my favourite t-shirt sia. Bought from Gotemba outlet, the cut fitted my fat body and the material was soooooooo soft and comfortable. If I had known, I would had bought all the colors, haahaahaa....
We called a Grab, it's easy but took about 10mins to arrive.
Lovely clay tiles on the floor.

How can the sky held so much water, it's literally rain non-stop.
Brunch at Chom Cafe.
This was located about 30mins drive away from the old town.
I actually came here for the man-made forest.
Some sections were being blocked, not able to walk in.
The cafe had a few pavilions. 1 Chiang Rai cafe = 10 Singapore cafes in terms of size.
Mists were released from time to time, perhaps to cool the temperature? The place looked like paradise.
The dinner was really neat, interior was classy.
Enormous menu with colorful illustrations.
It's called Chom Latte in the menu, 150baht.
Bacon spaghetti 150baht.
Glass noodles with prawns 390baht.
Grilled pork shoulder 225baht.
After lunch, moved on to Mae Ya Waterfall, 1.5hrs drive with enjoyable scenery.
At the entrance of Mae Ya Waterfall, we were stopped from entering. The guard said the waterfall was CLOSED for visitors. After f**king 1.5hrs drive, it's closed, I didn't know how to react. Our driver said that the waterfall was never close and this was his first time, urrrggg...... (the close was due to mud slides, thanks to the rain).
Mae Ya Waterfall, from what I found out, was the most beautiful and majestic waterfall in Chiang Mai, it's a pity to miss it, not sure if I could make a revisit haiz...
It would be idiotic to drive back to old town, asked the driver where else could we go, he suggested Wachirathan Waterfall which was another 30mins drive from where we were. Left with other options liao...
So here we were! Wachirathan Waterfall!
The best part was, the big waterfall with crazy gush could be seen from the carpark itself ie. no trekking no hiking no climb, almost NO NEED TO WALK, waahaahaa happy until clap hands.
We went to look at furious river.
It's very very slippery, not for young children and the very old.
Fall into the river and it would be the fastest way to die even for a swimmer.
The waterfall could be admire from far, to get a close look need to wear a raincoat de... We bought the rain coat from the one and only cafe besides the waterfall. It was like S$1 or S$2 couldn't remember.
Made life difficult for ourselves by exploring around.
We had the whole place to ourselves, no one else.
The waterfall was pretty impressive, my boy was really enjoying himself.
The same driver had waited for us for about an hour and drove us to Coffee Carp Cafe after that.
The cafe was actually near Chom Cafe, yes it's outside the old town.
The cafe had carp fish swimming around tables.
Drinks were okay, food was below average. So if carps were not your interest, it may not be worth it to drive all the way here from old town.
Nevertheless, the whole concept was amazing.
Bottle 40baht and food 20baht.
Carp feeding was a MUST MUST MUST do activity here. You might as well don't come if you want to skim on fish food lolxx...
They didn't have sense of fullness right?
They suck very hard, so must hold the bottle tightly.
Tug and pull with big fishes was extremely amusing.
We were freaked out when they almost jumped out of the water.
Private business with aquarium view.
Small bill.
If you are keen to visit, do note that it's outside the old town, so you have to plan your route instead of making a trip for only one cafe.
30mins drive back to the old town, supper fun in the Saturday Night Market.
Ate a bit of street food, bought a bit of stuffs, happy. Things were cheaper than Bangkok.
Along the way there's numerous temples which was too distracting for us to find out which was which lolxx... This particular one was called Silver Temple, should be a simple name for tourists, not sure of the actual name.
Beautiful offerings for sale for people who wanted to pray.
The Silver Temple became a chameleon with lightings.
Looking at the map, we realized that we were less than 1km away from our hotel, so we walked back.
Passed by Katam Corner, a remnant of the 13th century old city wall.
In love with Chiang Mai already.
Next day, we travelled out of old town again. I literally screamed like no tomorrow, my soul could had left my body waahaahaa... please come back for my story, heehee... thank you!
