Day 6 Bangkok Thailand

 03/10/2023

This was the domestic terminal at Chiang Mai Airport.

They arrowed us here and there for the check-in counter.  It was as if tourists don't take domestic flights??
After a bit of merry-go-round, we gotten our boarding pass.  The next thing was to look for our boarding gate.  Finally able to relax once I knew where it was.

9am situation.

Mcdonald's was somehow like magnet to us.

(orange juice not in pic)

Phew, ex... and I didn't realise until now lolxx...

This was the most crispy hash brown we ever had, supper delicious.  Why Singapore ones so soggy??
The nuggets were also super crispy, big loud crack sounds at every bite and remained soft and juicy inside.

The plum sauce was just not right, what on earth...

This leg was great, we boarded and reached Bangkok smoothly!

Don Mueang International Airport.
As I had credits in booking.com, I used it to book a transfer to our hotel.  Traffic wasn't too bad, we reached in 30mins' time.

Bandara Suites Silom.

Water and coffee for guests at the lobby.

We had a 130sqm suite for the 4 of us.  Paid S$568 for 4 nights (without breakfast) which was not too bad a deal.

I let my kid sis and niece to take this room with queen bed.
The room had a big dressing table, they must had love it.
They also had a bath tub.

There was a working table in the living room which I proclaimed as mine lolxx...

We used the dinning table to pack our shopping loots and nua in the living room to watch Youtube together at night.

Darren and I took this room with 2 singles and used the toilet with shower at the living room.

Kitchen and big fridge which we hardly use.  But the washing machine behind it was life saving, we had one ton of dirty laundry accumulated over 5 days from Chiang Mai.

Went to the reception to request for tuk tuk.  It shuttled us to Silom Station for free.

"Hermes" tuk tuk.

Meet up with my kid sis and niece, we had late lunch at Chatuchak Mix.
It was at this time we knew about the gun shot incident in Siam Paragon.  The next day it was updated in the news that a few were killed.

Chatuchuk Mix wasn't a big mall but we were waiting for the rain to stop to go to Jodd Fair nearby.
Why didn't I buy anything T__T

Darren bought Lisa, my niece bought Jay Chou lacquer photos.

Pet shop with fur balls.

And this exotic pet shop was mind blowing.

ARMADILLO omg...

We gave up on Jodd Fair cos the rain didn't stop and took a train back to Silom Station.

Bite size cakes at Silom Centre.

Attracted by this restaurant.
We took a queue number, went to the cafe opposite to rest and they gave our table away.  By the time we sat down was more than half an hour later.

Then they took forever to take our order.
Salmon salad was as good as a main, so much salmon sia.

Although Omu rice was their signature, the carbonara was world class.
4 of us tried and we gave them 8 thumbs.

Yuzu soda.

Their omu rice had perfect eggs, but hamburger steak was ok only.  Their meat and sauce wasn't impressive.

Went back and did laundry, water came out of the washing machine flooded the balcony lolxx...
Luckily the blockage unclogged itself after a while.

Thanks for reading.  Next day Darren and I went for photo shot at Wat Arun in Thai costume, be back for it, heehee...
