There wasn't black out curtain, so auto wake up by morning sun.
Waking up with this view was far better than waking up facing an ugly multi-storey car back home.  The blanket was thin like paper though...

We depended our lives on this mini-mart below our apartment for snacks and water.
The 4 of us went different directions except for my son who had to be with his new girl.
Grab cab generally took about 10mins to arrive, so it was the best time to take selfies.

Exploring a bit of Mont Kiara.  I found this area "accidentally" online, an area where tourists normally wouldn't visit.
First stop was VCR Stacks cafe.  Was supper happy when I saw the glass house, pretty.
Inside was a table of happy koreans who were so excited that they gotten louder and louder lolxx...  It didn't take long for me to realise that this place is where all the expats stays.

I went straight to the first thing in the menu, it was a mistake...

The price not for locals I supposed, but was ok for us with currency exchange.

Frowned at the mess, I couldn't figure out what this art was.
Me time was soul-ly enjoyable.
The delightful big plate of breakfast came.
All was good until I took a bite of the sour dough...  I was stunned for a moment...
It tasted AMAZING!!!  I should had just ordered bread alone and coffee!!!  My plate had only one slice of bread which was NOT ENOUGH.  Bread from heaven sia!!!
Then I saw a lady bought 2 big loafs of sour dough from the counter, and I knew why.

I took my time, le pak as a most useless human being on earth, then found a nail salon on the 2nd floor in the same building, just went in and get my claws done.

After getting my nails groomed, walked to 168 Retail Mall just for one thing -

Walking on Sunshine salon.

Had a 1.5hrs head spa which wasn't as cheap as I hoped it to be.
It was about S$60 and after that my hair was very silky smooth, soft and bouncy for the rest of the week.
I had my hair trimmed also.

168 Retail Mall was stale, I walked to 1 Mont Kiara mall opposite.  Slient mall also but slightly better.
There was a H&M which I found a flora tunic dress.

Suki-ya hotpot buffet (including free-flow drinks and ice-cream) was only RM56!!
So I went in and realised too late that it was halal.

Anyway, without pork, but they had a bit of sushi and kimchi at the condiments bar.
The veg and others were quite the same as Singapore's.
These were all I had, then sibei full after drinks, watermelon and a serve of ice-cream.

After dinner cab back.  It was early at 8pm, so I went to Sunway Putra mall to take a look.  It was just 5mins walk from Regalia Residence.
Nothing much, but I managed to buy a light pink hijab.

Sat at the balcony, had cold tea and some cake for supper.  The night view was super beautiful.

Day 3 we went Pink Mosque and Astaka Morocco.  We had the most photos taken on this day in the entire trip.

Kuala Lumpur 7D6N - Day 1

Prologue:

A usual Wednesday noon, I was doing whatever I was doing at home.  Casually asked the kids where would they be staying in KL.  Girl said a big airbnb apartment enough for 5pax for the 3 of them.
Me: Wow!  So big arh?
Girl:  You want to join?
Me: WANT!
Son: ???
Me: Quick, see the bus still got seat or not.
Girl:  Okie!   Have!
Me:  Book!!!
Son:  Serious arh???
Serious.  The booking of coach for me was done like, within 5mins lolxx...  That's how the impromptu KL trip came about the following Sunday.  Our group was made up of with 3 youngsters including my son plus myself.   I was away from them most of the time, let the youngsters enjoy themselves instead of tagging behind, so it was very much like a solo-trip.

18/08/2024

It was a 9am bus, we took MRT to the meeting point at Lavender station.  It was a breeze.
The train wasn't crowded with many like us carrying small luggage heehee...

We had Mcdonald's while waiting for the bus.  A normal bus came to pick a few of us up and we were transferred to another luxury coach.
The 24 seater was very comfortable.
It was only half full, everybody was quiet so it was very pleasant.  I hoped I didn't snore too much.

Hello JB, from Tuas checkpoint with a breeze at around 10.30am.

Reached Yong Peng pee stop for a dessert.

We reached KL city before 4pm.
Contrast of new and old buildings.
Didn't know there were so many highway bridges.
Our bus stopped at Berjaya Times Square.  We called for Grab, it took forever, then was a 10mins drive to Regalia Residence.
It had a super nice lobby with a shallow pool of koi and plants.

It consists of 3 blocks of residential buildings and a hotel.

The accommodation wasn't arranged by me so it was a big surprise when we opened the door.
Million dollars KL city view from the living room.
For this it changed the way I looked at KL, it suddenly looked like a mini version of Dubai.

The apartment had 2 bedrooms, this was one with a single and super single with the amazing also.
It had an attached bathroom, a small rack for hanging clothes and a small study table.

The other room was a super single, same view.  The train could be heard in this room which I had, but it didn't bother me much.  The room was very small, no storage space for clothes whatsoever.
This room had no toilet so I had to use the common toilet, no biggie though.  Sunlight pierce right through the thin blue curtain, so I didn't need an alarm to wake up.  The aircon temperature couldn't be adjust, freezes most of the time but I couldn't be bothered to raise up the issue, sometimes I just switched it off in the mid night.

Simple kitchen, washing machine and a small fridge.
If I were the owner, I would invest on the amenities and furnishes so as to fetch a slightly higher rental price.  The apartment was so spacious, it was such a pity.

Dinner at Huen Kee Claypot Rice, Michelin.  We were stuck in the rain else we probably had left.  More than 1 hour of wait we had endured.

Charcoal claypots.

After over an hour, we finally got to sit down.
Veg was normal, nothing to rave or rant.

Thai sauce tofu, from the look you knew it's over fried, all dried.

Nice pipping hot (obviously) with aroma of sesame oil.  Generous chucks of tender chicken.
It would be a nice meal if not for the torturous wait.

Bill for 3 pax, such deal doesn't exist in Singapore.

Rainy night called for screaming night in karaoke located in Berjaya Square.
Happy screaming our lungs out from 9pm to 12am, 3hrs for 3pax was about RM70 with free flow drinks and 2 types of tibits, couldn't "hiam" already.
The room was big, aircon was cold, sound system was great.

That was our first day in KL.  Next day I went on solo to Mont Kiara, it didn't feel like Malaysia lolxx...
