Took a 30mins cab ride to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park.
Not a popular place cos it's really far if travelling from Ubud.
Bought the tix from KLOOK at S$27.70 which include entry into the Statue.
Good bright weather, a bit toasty but ok.
Was already excited at the entrance.
I headed straight to Jendela Bali Restaurant which offered complimentary drinks (bundle with the entrance tix).
FOC drink station.
Non-aircon (again) but the ambience was nice, decided to have my lunch here.
They name the platter Nasi Bukit Jendela Bali - S$10, ex for locals, affordable for Singapore currency.
There was beef rendang, chicken satay, so yummy but rice portion too little, paid another S$1 for a bowl of rice, then couldn't finish lolxx...
Bonus of this restaurant was that the al fresco area had a stunning view.
Moving on... a random aesthetic spot.
Starbucks looked so cool.
Photo opportunity.
Miss my hair, I looked fab heehee...
The blocks of cliffs were too cute.
This statue is 121m tall, took freaking 28 years to build and completed in Jul 2018.
Die die must put my face in the frame.
I should had moved forward but waited an hour for the free guide.
There was nothing much to do in the statue building and it's non-aircon (again).
Finally went with English speaking guide together with a small group of about 10pax into the statue.
The architect drawing brought back memories of myself working in the industry before I got married. I can read drawings, a skill that myself nearly forgotten.
The bone structure of the statue.
The beautiful scenery from the top.
They weirdly had building materials transported from Bandung to Bali island lolxx...
They processed the material from copper color to green.
Statues over the world which I went to none.
The goddess of the statue.
The "openings" in the statue were all with beautiful views of Bali.
While there were exhibits inside the statue, some areas were hollow.
It's turning my legs into jelly but I went ahead with the photo-taking (with both soft and hard copy). It was only a few dollars, couldn't remember how much.
Took pic with the miniature.
Out of the aircon statue back to very warm outdoor of GWK park.
Garuda Plaza.
After climbing then I found that there's a lift lolxx... This is a half-bird, half-man, Vishnu's companion represents loyalty, trust, and sacrifice, and is also seen as a symbol of freedom.
Super nice view and I was the only one here.
I took a thousand selfies with nobody around this spot.
I wasn't looking at the map and found this corner by chance - Kura Kura Plaza (water garden)
Standing far away from the statue.
Vishnu Plaza.
This plaza is marked by a giant statue of Vishnu. Vishnu is one of the main gods of Hinduism. According to this religion, it is one of the supporting pillars of the universe and, together with Shiva and Brahma, form the sacred trinity.
I was very late, watched the last 5mins of a performance.
I spend about 4hrs in GWK Culture park, one hour was for lunch and one hour kinda wasted waiting for the guide at the Statue.
Back to the hotel for my dose of avocado coffee. It was so super duper good.
Rested and freshened up a bit before heading out for sunset at Kuta Beach. Grab bike 20mins.
The beach was stunning with black sand. The "design" of the sand changes with each wave, it was mesmerizing.
It was just insanely beautiful.
All beaches in Bali are heaven on earth.
And I suddenly felt lonely...
Crossed over the road was Beachwalk Mall.
They even had water taps for washing sandy feet.
The mall had a little supermarket, it was almost my last chance of getting some coffee and whatever local tibits.
Already broke to beyond, I settled dinner in the food court, good experience actually.
Had crab meat noodles.
The bill.
Really got crab meat heehee... not bad but I preferred Singapore's wanton mee.
Did a bit of shopping, then had a hard time playing hide and seek with my Grab bike rider.
The next day was a private tour to Nusa Penida booked with KLOOK. It was so expensive and I ended the tour pre-maturely.
I am feeding myself with my own blogpost to stay alive. I can't even fly out without any source of income at the moment.
