Beauty Asia 2013

Had been visiting Beauty Asia Exhibitions since 6 years ago when I joined the nail industry.
Previous years the exhibitions were held at Suntec Exhibition Halls.
It's the first time it's held at Marina Bay Sands Convention Center.

My first visit to MBS Expo Hall.

OOTD
Tiffany color top - some shop at Plaza Singapura (it's crazy cheap @S$5 only!!)
Tuxedo skirt - BKK
Ribbon belt - TaoBao
Shoes - KIYO
I only brings a trolley for shopping in 2 places-
*Platinum at Bangkok
and
*Yearly Beauty Asia Exhibition

Registration was required to enter, my kid sis tagged along too.

Upon registration, this tag was given and hang it throughout the day.

I went on Monday 25 Feb which happened to be the day nails competition was held.

Competition was on going, but no sure what category.

Mix media nail art designers were getting their models prepared.

Spotted another nail model doing her make-up.
I didn't stay around to watch the competition, was busy shopping.
I still love doing nails, but the thrill and excitement that I used to have was sort of eroded.

Polishes....

and more polishes!!

Spotted these nails from one of my supplier's booth.
They are done using photo stickers from Korea.

My sis and me totally went crazy.....

The nail trainer demonstrated how to adhere the stickers on my kid sis's nail.
She also gave very detailed instructions on how to get it done perfectly.

Done on one nail and this was how it looked like using 4 stickers overlapping each other.

As a result, I spend a few hundred dollars just on stickers -____-|||
Precious Nail Services' Queens and Princess are gonna be very happy ^_^
These stickers can be only use on gel polish, hard/soft gel or acrylic nails.
Different from those kind of  few dollars nail stickers which teenagers use to DIY.

Spotted another shopper-holic, lady at the right corner wearing blue skirt.
She gotten a luggage bag on wheels, bigger than mine lolxx..

We were looking at this booth with fake lashes, they sell normal ones and many fanciful drama lashes too!

I went omg omg omg omg..........

omg omg omg.....

While I was omg-ing, I was being lured into the booth by the sales lady who offered to change my lashes for me FOC.  先小人后君子, I told the sales lady cannot force me to make purchases before I agree, heehee.....

So yup, she removed my existing lashes.
Always feels very bare without fake lashes, without them, my eyes looked like small peas >.<

Sales lady super expert, putting on C-curve lashes for me.

Can still see the white glue at my left eye.  The whitish color turned transparent after a few seconds when it's completely dry.

Done and I thought the C-curve lashes were not bad!  I love lashes fanning my cheeks ^.^

The sales lady went on to put a "flower" for me.

I looked funny cos' kena scolded by my sis for not looking into the camera, lolxx...

As promised by the sales lady, there wasn't any hard selling, but it was just too hard to resist, so damage was unavoidable.....
I don't remember the prices for these though >.<  It's better to forget so as to lessen the heart pain, sigh..... what kind of logic am I talking about, oh well.
I just pretend and try hard not to know how much I spend.
Bought a pair of fancy lashes in hearts.

A tube of lash glue and a box of lashes.

失心风 (gone crazy) I bought another 3 sets of brown lashes from Star Lash.
Had been using this brand for more than 3 years.
They are very durable and it's the only brand I found with brown lashes which gives a softer and more natural look.

Insane crowd at Magic Boo's cashier.

We bought a load of shampoo and conditioner.
Now you all know how useful my shopping trolley was right?

Trying this cap which claims to have UV protection and also generates collagen growth to our skin.

I spread all the bought items on the table, we got beauty products for hair, face and nails.
Woot!!!

After the exhibition, we went Carnivore Brazilian Restaurant for dinner.
Gotten slightly drunk and had some funny pics to share, stay tune <3

Ootoya Japanese Restaurant @Changi City Point

I had been blogging intensively cos' I had too much over-due drafts.
Had been working hard and enjoying doubly hard as well.
Got so much to share and so much to tell!
Really wish for 48hrs per day then split myself into 3 heads and 6 arms to multi-tasks, heehee....
So, here's another nom nom food post ~~

Changi City Point is one of my favourite hang out.
It's less crowded compared to the malls at Tampines;
with lots of parking lots, lots of restaurants and eateries, and the air con is super cold, hur hur.....

This post is a bit back dated, date of visit was 27 Jan :X
But have to share with you readers cos' there's something special into this......
Chinese New Year decor at the event hall of Changi City Point.

Exterior of  Ootoya Japanese Restaurant

Tarakurozu (Fried Cod Fish with sweet & sour sauce) @S$14.00

Big chunks of cod fish with assorted veg, stir fried in rich flavour.

Initially, I was very happy with the salad which came with the cod fish.
Only to realise that the greens were on top, beneath were shredded cabbage
  I   H.A.T.E   shredded cabbage -____-|||

Bamboo basket presentation.....

peep peep.........

Asari Seiro (Steam rice with clams) @S$11.50
The taste was quite bland but was perfect that I ate it with Tarakurozu.

Katsu Curry @S$18.50
which came in a rojak bowl!  lolxx....

Check out the curry sauce with onions and minced beef!

Grilled beef set @S$24.00

Slightly charred on the outside and incredibly juicy inside!!
It's ridiculously DELICIOUS.  So worth it until I don't know what to say.....

The set came with chawanmushi and miso soup.

Here's another HIGHLIGHT ~

ALL the miso soups I had at other restaurants only have small tofu cube and seaweed, that's it, full-stop.
Their miso soup got generous lots of chicken pieces and veg inside!
And the best part was......
IT'S REFILLABLE!!
When the waitress told us we could refill the soup, we were very surprised!
We actually called her back and asked "The soup can refill is it?"
So silly lor, lolxx......
We asked for 2 refills, although I would really like to have 5, my goodness yummy-licious.
pai seh, hur hur.....

You must be inhuman if you aren't tempted, heehee.....

Penang Culture @Century Square

Slightly over-due, visited Penang Culture before Chinese New Year.
It's a halal eatery previously called Gurney Culture, besides Kenny Rogers.

From the introduction signboard, it's obvious that Penang Culture serves Penang street food.

Grilled Lala with sambal @S$7.90
I love lala (or clams), no matter how it is cooked.
Not much gravy, but as long as they are fresh without fishy smell, I will gobbled up every meat from the shell.
Small portion good enough for 2 pax.

Grilled stingray with sambal @S$7.90
Small portion, but no complains for the price.

Veg with oyster sauce @S$3.00
Not very impressive, but hey, it's coffee shop's price.

Belacan Fried Rice @S$8.90
Thumbs up for this, the belacan chilli was totally satisfying, the fried rice was in perfect texture and taste.
I am gonna come back for this!

King of Chendol @S$5.90
I thought they served the wrong item cos' it looked so different from their menu.

See the pic on their menu and you'll know what I mean.

Hubby told me it looked different cos' the crushed ice melted :(
We accepted it anyway and thank goodness the taste was not affected by the appearance at all.
I am not a fan of chendol, I will not and never ordered chendol.
This was ordered by my hubby and I thought I would just "entertain" him by eating a few spoonful.
And I never know chendol can be this GOOD!!!
The beans were soft and not "powdery" upon chewing;
the QQ green jelly was a divine combination with the beans.
This chendol became KING with a big scoop of durian paste.
You really have to order this to complete your meal at Penang Culture.

Need to compliment a part-time young waitress who served us.
She could memorise their entire menu, gave us recommendations at her fingertips!
The most impressive part was she asked if I like to have plain warm water.
Astonished, I asked how she knew I prefer warm water, she said she saw I brought along a tumbler, so was making a guess.
This attentive waitress had made the whole dinning experience a pleasant one.

Hope you enjoy this review and here's the address:
