Muthiah Restaurant at Changi Business Park

*sponsored

Food tasting at Muthiah Restaurant was a new experience to me as I had never really tried Chettinadu South Indian food before.  My knowledge of indian food are limited to roti prata and indian rojak :X

The location is favourable with Expo MRT just a stone throw away.
Just that at the moment, the major construction around that area is obstructing the way, thus I had a hard time locating the restaurant.

At the entrance of Muthiah Restaurant ^^
OOTD:
Cap - bought in Penang many years ago
Peter pan blouse - BKK
Jeggings - Uniglo
Red wedges - Payless ShoeSource
Bag - Pazzion

Muthiah Restaurant at Changi Business Park

The high ceiling was cool and I absolutely love their elegant leather seats with comfy back rest.

They have a cozy corner for tea and quick bites too.

Muthiah Restaurant has extended an extra service ~
Free wifi and this wireless charger for smart phones!  Every table has got this orange powerspot.
Muthiah Restaurant is the only place in Singapore that offers Powerspot.sg for charging phones with just a simple device.
Tell me who won't love this! <3 <3
p.s.  finger prints on phones are normal and acceptable, heehee....

From the left:
Lemon Pudina (Mint & Lemon juice) price not fixed yet
Mango Lassi S$3.20
Lemon Pudina, the glass with green colored juiced was very refreshing!  Wonderful thirst and spicy quencher!  Mango Lassi on the other hand was almost like a sweet dessert.  It's like a mango milk shake, yummy for children and sweet lovers.

Papadum
These indian crackers was served in a stack presented in a basket, very thin, crispy, slightly bitter due to one of the indian spice, cumin and a little saltish.  It's delightful to eat on it's own or with any dip sauce.

Fish Head Curry S$23.00

Close-up pic but fish head was buried under the thick curry gravy lolxx...

Here you go, scooped up for photo shots, heehee.....
$23 for this huge whole fish head was really a good deal!  The thick flavourful curry gravy wasn't as spicy as it appeared to be.   I couldn't tell what fish was used as it was all coated with curry, but the meat was a bit tough.  The brinjal and ladies finger were under cooked, else this would be a perfect pot.

Chicken Kothu Parotta S$6.50

Parotta were shredded into small pieces and stired fried with minced chicken and onions without excessive oil.  This dish itself it's a complete meal.  Suitable for young and old I would say.

Reshmi Kebab S$11.00
The marinating had turned the meat a bit too mushy for my liking, I preferred the accompanied veg with it, any time.

Tangdi Kali Mirchi S$17.00
Another dish of chicken, it's coat with batter, meat was tender and juicy.  The overall taste was mild and pleasant.

Crab Masala S$10.00
Not able to identify this dish initally cos' everything was camouflaged in the gravy till the serving staff told us it's flower crab lolxx....

They didn't provide pillars so we had to bite into the shells to get the meat.  Within the shells were 50% juice and 50% meat, quite nice to suck actually (sorry, I can't find another better word than suck).

Murg Cheese Ki Gulesthan S$14.00
According to the owner, this dish takes a longer time to prepare and cook hence slightly pricier.
Tender boneless chicken chunks coated generously with this unique gravy with cheese was heavenly.
Totally mouth smackingly :P~~~
MUST ORDER!!

Chicken Briyani S$6.50
Had to bling it, cos' it's so good and comforting to eat T___T

To begin with, I am not a fan of briyani, I avoid rice as far as possible cos' carbo = weight gain.  But cos' it's a food tasting session, I had to complete my "mission" no matter what to give a genuine review in this blog.   When I took a spoonful, it was WOW!!  The rice was so warm, each grain was so soft like cotton wool but yet intact in grains   Perfect fragrance and taste without being overwhelming with spices.  The chicken wing beneath the rice was so tender that it fell apart when I tried to scope it up for photo shot.  So no photo for the chicken wing, it went straight into our mouths, I am sorry!  Worth the calories  :P~~~~  MUST ORDER!!

Garlic Nann S$3.50
Garlic lovers are going to be smitten by this.  Best to be eaten while it's hot!

Trying to be funny pic...

Thosai S$2.20
I know it's not a hat, but it will fit my head if I tried it on, lolxx....  It's slightly sweet, taste almost like pancakes but thinner and in a different look.  Another good alternative to rice and I think my darling King Luis is gonna love this ^^

Prawns Fry S$10.00
Large prawns fried in batter, shells on the body were removed leaving the head and tail only.  The batter wasn't too thick and the prawn's head was so crispy that it could be eaten ;)

Masala Tea S$1.80
Muthiah kitchen staffs must had be swooned over by our group of female bloggers; they added too much condensed milk liao leh, heehee......

Authentic Chettinadu South Indian food tasted better than I had imagine.  I thought everything would be very spicy with lots of strong pungent spices in the dishes.  I am sure glad that I attended this food tasting session ^^

Nice ambience + reasonable price + tasty food

Ah Tong Tea House 阿东茶餐厅

This blog post is a continuation from HERE.   After enjoying Fighter Aircrafts' low flight "performance" cum  viewing of water lilies and a sea of mimosa, we ended our short walk before the sky turned dark.

Decided on Ah Tong Tea House 阿东茶餐厅 for dinner.

It was very crowded during dinner time, even the out-door seats were almost fully occupied.

Ceiling fans plus aircon, lolxx..

The interior was cheerful and bright.

Their menu was pretty the same as any other Hong Kong cafe that we had visited.

Complimentary Prawn crackers to nibble on while waiting for our order to come ^^

Ginger Lemongrass S$3.90
Cool and soothing drink, love it cos' it's not sweet.

 Sheng Mian 生面 S$12.90
Loads of seafood swimming in the thick egg sauce, plenty of green veg too.  Portion quite big, will be able to please a hungry dinosaur, lolxx...

Beef Baked Rice S$11.90

If you love cheese, this was gluey and sticky and yummy, heehee....

Buffalo Wings S$7.90
Nay, too dry and I didn't like the BBQ sauce poured over.

Service was friendly and fast despite of the crowd.  Sitting by the window was enjoyable, watching car owners looking for parking slots frantically.   幸灾乐祸 I know and not afraid to admit lolxx....

With service charge and GST, the bill came to be S$43.10.

My neighbourhood facial salon - Radiance

*sponsored

Look at me.
I am not be drop dead gorgeous with V-shaped jaw, tiny nose and big eyes.
But I had actually passed my 40s.   No need to look for wrinkles or crow's feet, I don't have any.
Wow..... yes, I know, thank you!

The makeup and filter had made my skin seemed flawless at this photo.  But I have to confess that I have combination skin with oily T-zone with visible pores.  Those areas are very easily clogged with both white and black heads which often erupts into pimples if I ignore them.

Already not easy to deal with, ageing skin creeped onto my skin which I managed to notice around 7 years ago.  Those fine lines were only visible when I looked at the mirror at 2 inches close; those laugh lines were getting more obvious; cheeks were getting droopy and I felt like a.....

droopy dog --_____--

To be frank, during then, it wasn't obvious to others, but that's when the situation can be "salvage".   A lot of people would always wait till those fine lines turned into deep lines before they start to panic and ask for miracle.  The old saying of "Prevention is better than Cure" is always right!

So, ever since 7 years ago I was with Radiance Boutique Spa, which had since take care of my face till today.  I have to say that my ageless appearance really owes to Radiance.
It's a neighbourhood facial salon located at Ang Mo Kio, near my dad's place, my 娘家 to be specific.

It's a small place with all essential fittings though nothing extravagant.

I had been to a few trial facials with big names and atas ambience but none's able to tackle my face like Radiance facial salon.  They do very thorough extractions, cleared all the pores so that my daily skin regime can be more efficient, products are absorbed better into the skin without clogged pores.

It's amazing that they do vigorous blood circulating facial massage for me without causing breakouts.  And yeah, that contributes to a more firm looking skin!

Products used are from Japan or France, each series of products target different skin types.

I couldn't help but to recall the recent horrifying incident of a young beauty blogger whom her face reacted very badly from her sponsored facial.  I showed my experienced aesthetician Josephine the photos, she said that it's an allergy reaction to the products used..... there were more she shared with me but I think it's better to keep it between us in case things gets sensitive.

What I am trying to say is that Josephine, my aesthetician, knows what's she doing and I trust her ^^

This may be a sponsored post, but being with this little salon for more than 7 years, contributing to my ageless complexion which is the more than wordy testimonial, you know that this is not a superficial advertisement.

It's not easy to find a facial salon suitable for yourself, so here's a little something I can offer -

Madam Kwan's at Vivo City

Date of visit: 08.07.13

Super duper over-dued food post cos' I totally forgotten about it till I was deleting some photo albums in my PC :X

So here we were, greeted warmly at the entrance by friendly staffs.

The classy ambience was elegant and cozy.

Lovely note on the menu.

Fruit Rojak S$11.90
The sauce was pleasing and the fruits were fresh.

Curry Chicken (2pcs) S$8.00 + Steam rice S$1.80

Curry was thick and flavourful with mild spiciness, chicken was tender, yummy.

Hokkien Noodles S$14.90

Nasi Bojari S$18.90
The rice itself was a bit disappointing, it's dry and many grains were broken :(
No raves or complains for the accompanied dishes.

Cendol S$4.90
Generous coconut milk over crush ice was really enjoyable, cendol a bit too soft for my liking but we appreciate the soft and sweet red beans.

The restaurant's card are really cute with Madam Kwan's cartoonize portrait.

The overall experience was a pleasant one but the price wasn't too pocket friendly.  Plain water was charged at S$1.00 and a bowl of plain rice was S$1.80 T____T, you can't blame me for feeling heart pain and I can't blame them for covering the high overheads.
