Ikkousha Hakata Ramen

*sponsored

Ikkousha Hakata Ramen is no stranger to me, they are the winner of Ultimate Ramen Champion for 2011 and 2012 consecutively!  Read about it HERE!

Was invited to Ikkousha's new branch's opening at Tanjong Pagar Plaza.
Heehee.... it's a good news for those who are working around Tanjong Pagar right?

Pic with IKKOUSHA's chef - Kousuke Yoshimura 吉村幸助

King Luis (in black T)  was with me, we were among the earliest to arrive.
Below right pic - each back rest of chairs are designed with a pit-hole, great for hanging personal belongings.  A simple design but brings much convenience to many ^.^

Took a peek into the kitchen, here's Ikkousha's special in-house thin straight noodles.  All Ikkousha ramen are made from these incredibly Q noodles.

Ramen bowls are kept warm filled with hot water.  Scalding and tossing of ramen was very interesting, was too engrossed watching, should had taken a video of it -__-
Japanese ramen doesn't go over with cold water, which is one of the most distinctive difference with chinese noodles.  Also saw one giant deep pot of milky pork broth (Tonkotsu) which is the soup base for all the ramens in Ikkousha.  Additional ingredients are added to the soup base to create different flavours which I am going to introduce
