A-la-carte breakfast provided at a cafe just outside the resort.
Sourdough with scrambled egg. Small portion, good in way so that I had stomach space for lunch.
I had a scarf today for a long bike ride. Their helmet smells like shit, literally.
Weeeeeeee... heehee... There were a lot to do, many attractions to see in Ubud area, my itinerary was quite packed.
About 30 to 40mins bike ride to Alas Harum. Bike ride were so good to beat the traffic else the journey could be an hour. The down side was I gotten a few shades darker.
I gotten too excited and started taking photos and video right in the middle of the carpark, I stopped my stupid act when I realized I was blocking the traffic, embarrassing...
Entrance tix was sup sup water, the other expenses inside were the killers.
IDR50,000 would be about S$4.
What I didn't expect was the place was full of stairs. You can't go to anywhere without climbing stairs.
There were stairs to the toilet, stairs to the costume rental, stairs to the restaurant, stairs to the rice terrace, and stairs to get out of Alas Harum, haiz...
An educational section, explaining the come about of luwak coffee.
The civets looked weird and depressing.
Roasting of coffee beans.
Manual pounding, I am sure this is for fun. There are machines for this simple task.
The rice terrace and the greens were picturistic.
I rented a VIP super long tail dress, paid about S$25.
I looked like a tribal monk in robe, fml.
The medium height swing was IDR225,000, about S$18. I was too scared to take the higher swing which cost more.
Waiting for my turn onto the swing, I had another chair for my lengthy tail.
Ok, this was the wrist band for every visitor.
I had an African lady (gorgeous lady with long legs to die for) to help me with some photos and video, so thankful to her.
Facial expression distorted, I looked as if I was going to be beheaded lolxx...
However, the result was stunning.
Paid another S$22 (or so) for their professional photographer to get these shots.
Swee until people's eyes red when I posted in FB waahaahaa...
Had a lot more photos, safe keep in thumb drive.
Could get heat stroke, the bottle of sparkling was S$7. The place didn't allow visitors to bring in water.
I forgotten to take panadol, and had a hard time dealing with my painful legs.
The serving crew: "Wow! VIP dress!" Then she helped me to give it a seat lolxx...
After numerous stairs, I finally returned the dress, what a relieve!
Continued to explored a bit. Should had spend the whole day here.
My painful legs wasn't able to carry to all the areas.
This bridge swayed, one tourist was screaming her way through lolxx...
If I ever come back to Bali without my legs deteriorating, I want to revisit and walk through areas that I missed.
Booked the Grab cab to Tirta Empul Temple. He asked where was my next destination, I told him after Tirta Empul Temple would be Gunung Kawi Temple. After a gentle nego, we cancelled the Grab app and he became my private chauffeur. I forgotten how much it was but was really fuss free and I was send back to my resort safely after everything.
He drove me to this touristy restaurant - Teba Sari. But it was so good.
The only thing to complain would be it's non-aircon.
I had this cove all to myself.
Food list ticked - Fried duck drum with rice + coke with complimentary chips = S$16.70.
After lunch was a short drive to Tirta Empul Temple.
They had compulsory sarong at no charge. Still cringed, I should had brought my own which I didn't pack into the luggage.
Tirta Empul translate to holy water spring but I didn't join in the dip (too lazy). The ang mos absolutely love it.
Despite of the exotic historical sights, didn't manage to get nice photos.
Probably this is the only good one. Then throughout were like these:

Ok, this not too bad though not the best.
I like this photo too.
Last attraction of the day - Gunung Kawi Temple.
要了我的老命 about 300 steps down and the same way up, ya the paw prints heehee...
This was so strenuous to me that I almost U-turn sia.
Despite of it being a UNESCO site, I meet less than 6 visitors, was almost all alone.
A local came to tie a sash around my barely there waist as good luck.
Nice but I was too exhausted to enjoy.
Finally, fml.
Gunung Kawi, UNESCO historical site build around 11th century. It's very mysterious cos it's unknown who build it and what's the purpose, was it for prayer or some ceremony, unknown. Could it be tended for burial huh??
This was all after 300 steps. So if you are not into historical sites, this place is not recommended.
I overcome myself and made it.
Listening to the waters.
Caught up with breath and smile!
Back to the resort after almost an hour's drive. There was a small massage place behind which I went to get my aches kneaded away.
It's inexpensive but non-aircon, so the linen didn't smell fresh.
Had dinner nearby, nothing cheap around this tourist area.
Natah Ubud Restaurant recommended by the reception.
Nice decor but no aircon as usual, I was a ball of sticky rice.
I had a big platter of seafood nasi + mojito + lava cake = damage IDR285,285.
Very tiring day, but moving on the next day.
