VeganBurg at Jalan Eunos

Date of visit: 06.12.2015

My impression of vegetarian food is nothing more than economical vegetarian bee hoon at coffee shops or food courts, which I don't mind eating once in a blue blue moon.

Vegetarian is comparatively boring when I have so many tempting choices all around.  Vegan dishes from what I think is less tasty without meat.  Imagine, just greens, fungus and soya bean, what else can be created out of these limited ingredients??

My first visit to VeganBurg made me realize how stupid I had been to presume.

We had drove pass VeganBurg along Jalan Eunos several times but never thought of visiting until my kid sis was having vegetarian diet for a period of time.
So we had to accommodate her and we finally made a stop here for the first time.

It was very much like a fast food restaurant selling ordinary burgers.  Order and pay at the counter.

Some items could be collected immediately at the counter while some needed a little bit of time, so a buzzer was given.

The interior was really cute, all green and woody, it's like walking into a courtyard.
I was wearing shorts that day and the carpet grass on the bench was pricky big time on my thighs lolxx...

I wasn't sure what to expect, so I was taking it as a pity-ful meatless healthy meal, get done with it once and for all.

The meal came in a army mess tin.

Smoky BBQ + Broccoli + drink S$11.80

Wasabi Burger + Fries + Drink S$11.80

Very very surprise, the above vegan burgers tasted like REAL BURGERS!  The soy patties were flavorful just like meat patties we used to have, and the great thing was, the patties were literally oil-less!  Together with fluffy wheat buns, the taste was near perfect for my taste buds.  Very soon, I totally forgotten that I was eating vegetarian.

Order some sides that came with paper tubs and tooth picks.

Spinach Pops S$3.90
Although called Spinach Pops, the balls were 80% mashed potato balls with some spinach.  I am not a big fan of potatoes but these were not bad.  Crispy on the outside, smothering soft inside.

Vegan Franks S$3.90
This tofu thingy was freaking yummy!  Never know tofu can taste almost like a real hot dog. I said "almost", cos the real hot dog is more bouncy to bite into, this were soft tofu.  Still fascinating to us, we ordered another serving.   If not for the expensive price, we really would like to order a few more.

This was my first try on vegetarian burgers, not able to compare it with others.  All I can say, the meal did not disappoint and we had a great time.  The pricky "grass" didn't bother too much but I'll wear something longer to cover on the next visit, heehee...

Image from www.facebook.com/parkhotelgroup
If you are a crab lover, you can't miss this buffet!

Brizo is thoughtful to provide diners with aprons and disposable gloves.
I didn't use the gloves as I find it a pleasure to smear my fingers with sauces and lick them clean later.  Ya, very unglam one, heehee.....

White wine was great with seafood.

Anyways, you will find the following crabs pics far more interesting than my selfie >.<  Cheers!

Salads

Appetisers.  you are looking at Alaskan Crab Claws, Chilled Flower Crab and Australian Spanner Crab accompanied with chilled prawns, scallops and some top shells.

Close-up of the big fat Australian Spanner Crabs, *wipes saliva*.

Have to move my camera to the other side of the counter to show you salmon sashimi and sushi!

Everybody at the table was like "Ewwww...." when I was digging the top shell.
It tasted like chicken gizzard lolxx....

Moving on, woks and woks of pipping hot crabs, so much variety that it wasn't possible for me to try every flavor.

Dim Sum style - X.O. Steamed Crab in Egg White

Close-up
This is a MUST TRY!  Never know steam crab can be this good.  Crab meat was bouncy and sweet, the XO savoury sauce was perfect with it.  Beneath was a soft bed of steamed egg white covered with sauce.  The taste was uncomplicating, it's just so simple yet so good!

Black Pepper Crab
Love this, cos' the black pepper sauce was moderate and not over bearing.

Butter Crab

Salted Egg Crab
Suppose to be my favourite way of cooking crab, but there was too much flour for my liking.

Heavenly Fragrance Crab
Another MUST EAT.  Stired fried with chilli, grounded dried prawns and various spices.  This is really delicious and unique, only at Brizo and no where else.

If you can't do without carbs, here's some crabful ones:

Penne Rigatoni with crab meat

Baked crab meat in cream sauce

Laksa, with crab meat of course.

The gravy was crazy yummy, but it didn't taste like laksa, it's thick, more like curry.

Everybody was busying digging into the above dishes when I discovered this pot:

Indian Chilli Flower Crab Masala
The pot didn't look impressive, but the taste was POWER!  MUST MUST MUST TRY!
The chef is an expert in this!

It's not too spicy, yet the punch is there.  I can literally drink it like coffee.
I "wiped" the bowl clean with a mini fried bun and popped it into my mouth, awwww.......

Was already quite full but the curry was too good to resist.
My "part 2" was eating it with prata.  This has got to be the best curry I ever eaten so far, yums....

Morale of the story:

Open every lid at buffet counters, you never know there's a great surprise waiting for you!

Taking into consideration that diners will be too comfortable to move after some time, Brizo will bring to your table
Crab In A Pan.

Make your order, and Crab In Pan will be send to your table pipping hot.

Crab In Pan with Cioppino Sauce
The pan is  totally hidden beneath the paper :P

Crab In Pan with Mariniere Sauce

Crab In Pan with Bouillabaisse Sauce

Happy girl Michelle and happy auntie ;D  Wefie made possible after we cleaned our hands and we were ready to attack the desserts!

Here's the pretty counter of fruits and desserts.

Chocolate Fountain Fondue

Assorted fruits and there's some cute colorful macarons.

Cakes, puddings and durian mousse!

Delightful little shots.

At the side of the desserts buffet counter, there's a fridge of.... ICE CREAMS!
You really have to wear something loose to give space to expanding tummies lolxx....

Michelle's plate.

Mine!

There are more dishes which I couldn't manage to take photos.   You can expect only the freshest crabs and seafood!  I would say it's worth every penny you spend!

SKIN ILLUMINATING CLEANSING OIL (100ml)
S$59.00
Made in Australia, this beauty cum makeup removal oil is enriched with natural ingredients:
* Rose
* Australian Sandalwood
* Orange
* Peru Balsam.

Skin Illuminating Cleansing Oil not only remove makeup and impurities effectively, it also dissolves sluggish skin cells!

I had used cleansing oil from many big brands which are more expensive.

Most of them works well but I have to say, Skin Illuminating Cleansing Oil is my FAVORITE!  The texture is less watery which makes massaging very shiok and that relaxing aroma fragrance is a really pampering!  Most importantly, the texture of my skin is improving each time I use this product.  It's getting more and more glowy, more and more luminous!

Highly recommended if your skin is dull and dehydrated due to late night sleeps or hectic life style.
Skin Illuminating Cleansing Oil works like magic on my skin, hope it works for you too!
