8 days in Sydney Day 2

 02/07/2025

Gloomy morning, view of Accor Stadium from my bed.
Another clear pic of it.  I forgotten which level we stayed haahaa... 14th, 15th or 16th.

Another view from the living room.

The first thing we did was to check the concert venue.  The neighborhood was very quiet.
Good thing that the rain had stopped.
People already camping for their VVIP front row at 9am.  The merch queue seemed manageable compared to Asian countries.

We were very hungry, had to grab a bite before moving on.  We popped into a random cafe next to Olympic Park train station.

Had our morning dose of coffee and shared a giant croissant.

This is Olympic Park train station.

There was no gantry and we walked right onto the platform into the train still figuring out how to pay.

Double deck, so cute!  Then I was asking my friend "Go up or go down huh??" haahaahaa...
It was a quiet weekday morning.
I took selfies while she stare in amaze: "Oh...... so this is how you take photos arh?"

We finally found out how to pay, tap in and out on this pole.

We alighted somewhere within the CBD area then slowly swayed our way towards Sydney Opera House.

Harbour Bridge build in 1932.
Looked a bit like Singapore.

Finally found the iconic building.
Lots of seagulls.  I was trying to catch one.
All looking white and clean with red beaks and legs.   Literally Snow White color combi.
Ok, I love my gf.

Opera Bar is very near the Opera House.
Always thought food around tourist area are expensive and awful, THIS IS AN EXCEPTION.

Drink: Sydney Sling, not impressed.

We calamari and potato croquette which were super duper yummy. We shared the 300g steak which was a bit over done but still good.

Relaxing city vibe which we lingered a while after lunch.

Sydney Opera House looked better from far.

We took a quick look at Queen Victoria Building (build in 1898).

Sydney Town Hall (build in 1878) was just beside.

Stepping farther, gotten a better view of Queen Victoria Building.

Made a special trip to Black Star Pastry for it's famous Watermelon cake.

AUD11/slice, not bad, but too ex to have it again.
My gf hated fruits on cakes lolxx...

Sydney Tower.

Went Chemist Warehouse, bought Paw Paw, tooth paste, hair oil, a set of teeth whiten device (which till now still haven't), a comb and what else?  Yup... a lot of fun.

We spend the entire noon and evening around CBD area, by the time we went back was almost 8pm battling with wind and rain.

Went to a supermarket nearby to buy supper for the next day, saw durian in freezer haahaahaa...

Bought raw popcorns.

Went into a random Thai restaurant for late dinner, exhausted.  The chicken tom yum soup was ok with lots of mushrooms floating.

The fried rice was delicious with wok hey.

We had an early night.  G-Dragon's concert the next day.  It felt like a dream...
